JOINT MOBILITY

Joint Mobility is defined as the degree to which an articulation (where two bones meet) can move before being restricted by surrounding tissues (ligaments/tendons/muscles etc.). Otherwise known as the range of uninhibited movement around a joint.

Flexibility is the ability of a muscle(s) to lengthen. Joint Mobility can almost be considered the umbrella under which flexibility lies. Having excellent joint mobility means that you have very good flexibility but the reverse does not apply.

Being extremely flexible, doesn't automatically mean good joint mobility. Generally speaking, the people who understand the importance of joint mobility are usually dancers, martial artists, professional athletes, and people who are recovering from injuries. it also increases proprioception which leads to reduction in injuries because you are more aware of your range of motion.

In joint mobility, there is no such thing as “it is too late”. No matter what age you begin, the dividends you reap, later on in life; will be very valuable and effective.

There is no age limit or fitness level restrictions in these classes.
