Master your breath, master your life

After all the focus being on quality of sleep, and nutrition as well as working out, BREATH seems to be the latest topic these days  – do you have allergies, anxiety, depression, autoimmune disorders, or ADHD? Do you have PTSD or suffer from severe trauma ? How about cancer, diabetes, and even covid 19? or maybe you are an athlete trying to enhance your athletic performance ? What if I told you – breathwork can solve your children’s inability to focus in school or help you have more clarity while making multi million dollar decisions in less than a minute? Breathwork can even help you get over a hang over !

How many of us were actually taught how to breathe as children? Its obviously not rocket science – we all have noses and mouths, and we pretty much inhale and exhale through them. The way you inhale and exhale makes all the difference in the way you function – not only when you are awake but also when you are asleep. It’s unfortunate that in our school system today , more importance is given to math and science than to our own inner physiology – how we breathe, and how our breath impacts our heart rate as well as our autonomous nervous system (the part of our body that controls whether or not we should be in “Fight or flight” or “Rest or digest”) is information that every human being on planet earth should know.

It is my dream, that children will be taught how to breathe right – so that they recognize how to handle day to day stress, anxiety and depression without resorting to marijuana and other drugs to calm themselves down. They can sleep well at night without having to take melatonin. That our medical system will have breathwork as an exercise that patients need to do before they are put on medication like Zoloft, Lexapro, Prozac, Adderall, Valium and Xanax. It is my dream that parents will be doing breathwork to deal with anger and addiction, so that their children can learn from them. And that we will live in a happier, healthier and stronger society that is free from diseases like cancer, diabetes and PTSD. Yes, breathwork can do this. Our breath is our superpower, I look forward to more people starting to use the super power that is available to all of us.
